Welcome to the official home page of British academic and novelist Alan Bilton. His debut novel, The Sleepwalker’s Ball, was published in 2009 by Welsh press Alcemi and was later followed by a second novel The Known and Unknown Sea (2012) and a collection of short stories Anywhere Out of the World (2016) both published by Cillian Press. He is also the author of Silent Film Comedy and American Culture (2013), America in the 1920s (2004) and An Introduction to Contemporary American Fiction (2002). Alan teaches creative writing, literature and film at Swansea University.
